приложения не запускаются с ошибкой

при проверки чексумм тоже что-то ругается...
делал все по пунктам:
1. Install RAT and all additional Options
2. Do not Reboot.
3. Run the Patcher.exe and choose your root Pixar dir
where you installed.
4. Over write the pixard.exe with our one include here.
5. Edit the license.dat. Check your_server to your actual
server name. Do not change anything else.
6. Reboot and Enjoy!
If you dont know how to Install RAT, follow
those little instructions :
1. run "pixar_rat.msi"
2. choose "Artist Workstation" as installation profile
3. for Server Location, enter the name of your machine and check the
box that says "Install License Server locally"
4. choose "Alfred Server" for Remote Execution Server and check the box
that says "Install Maitre-d Locally"
5. select additional components
6. choose "Rendering Workstation" as Prman installation profile
7. skip the license file editor
или же это все фигня?

А "подломить" его это просто 2 действия - замена файла демона и правка файла лицензии. Что может быть проще? Только купить лицензионнный RAT, но мне кажется и в этом случае у "лохов" (как ты их называешь) будут проблемы с установкой

Я делал это 101 китайский раз и всё работало. Именно так, как написано! И урок на render.ru, тоже правду говорит.
Да и вообще сервис FlexLM можно руками установить. Проверка оч.проста E:\Pixar\prman-11.3.1\etc\setup\make.bat и смотришь в логе демона Pixar, что пишет.
Не забудь про переменные среды. Пути к программам не ДОЛЖНЫ содержать ПРОБЕЛОВ и РУССКИХ букв (как обидно a?

не редактируй лицензию в Word или Notepad. В редакторе NC, VC, FAR или Textpad самое то. (Нужен символ конца строки
Сними себе новую версию (cracked release) от MiDNiGHT, 5.5.1 JUL 14, 2003 (или более свежую) на "Е-Осле" и будет "щастье":
1. Uninstall any old version of Pixar you might have.
2. Install the all the Pixar Products you need, make sure to install the license
server somewhere.
3. Once the installation is complete, do not reboot. Instead, replace the license.dat
and pixard.exe in your license-2.0 directory with our special ones. Edit the license
file to change the server name only to your real server name. Do not touch anything else.
4. Reboot. You should now have a fully working RAT license for any platform. You
only need one license server on your network, just point your other client installs
to the port@host where your license server is.
5. Enjoy. Nice not to have to patch the client applications at all isn't it!

Install Notes:
1) Unzip and Unrar to a temp directory.
2) Copy RAT_5.5.1/SSE2opt/Pixar_Renderman.msi to RAT_5.5.1/
if your cpu's architecture is based on SSE2 Technology (P4)

даже кряк подходит от китайцев... (файл pixard.exe меньше оригинала почти в два раза)
зы: похоже, у меня главная проблема была в том, что устанавливал не в корневой каталог, а в program files...
сделал то же самое в корень и все прошло на ура...)))
