sem hello! I learned a lot about maya, but the questions come as usual in practice. I decided to simulate this robot. In the photo, I highlighted in red where I sank. The question is how to model such forms? Are there any lessons, or maybe someone will tell you how to do this correctly. Or is it not worth taking a steam bath and making such forms in Zbrash, and then finishing them in Maya? How to model a body, so much so that there is a circle cut out? Or is it better not to touch the shirt, but to do it in a zebra? I thought I had to smooth everything, and then try to sculpt a shape out of it. But then I had another question. The fact is that I modeled, and never pressed the number three, and then I saw very often that people would still confuse their models. Try to watch lessons by tag "hard surface modelling". It's about how to build up a right topology, when modelling mechanisms or robots etc in 3d max or Maya.
