Samodelkin is a character from the magazine "Funny Pictures", a co-invented Soviet artist and director, a literary hero, a fan of carpentry, a plumber, a connoisseur of technique and crafts. The first film, "The Adventures of Samodelkin", was released in 1957, the same year the first artificial satellite of the Earth "Sputnik-1", also called "PS-1", was launched on the shoreline by the intercontinental ballistic missile "R-7". I was inspired to create this hero here: http://blender-3d.ru/forum/index.php?action=media;sa=item;in=229, as well as reframes from the Internet and to the teeth grinding wanted to create my own homemade and without fail with the satellite "PS-1" by analogy with the picture in "Wiki" (there he is with a plane). In the process of working on a "flat battery" (as we called it at the dawn of a misty youth), I wanted to create more details, but on Samodelkin this hi-poly was not very harmonious, I would have to detail, age and "wipe" the corners on the head, on the plugs hands to withstand the integrity of the entire composition, but this is a search and departure from the concept of a fun, young robot-man from Soviet animation and a drawing magazine. Therefore, the battery hi-poly 3336L showed the identity of the renderer. The quality mark itself asked, something I always liked about it, maybe the energy that it carries can also combine the organic nature of the simplest forms.
