comp: p4, 1.8 gb, 512mb, asus 64 mb, 3dsmax 4.26.

problem: after normal instal, trying to render a sample scene from cebas folder: pyramid, so what happens is that rendered image supposted to have red pyramid lit from right side (kind of translucent feel) but what I get is just grey pyramid lit from right side (kind of cartoonish look) without any shades of translucency. Same @!#$ happens to all scenes enclosed in the sample scenes folder.
Can anyone help on this? Please!!!!!!!
