Shakes intuitive, tree-based compositing paradigm gives you the
freedom to change your mind at any point in the production process,
and to reconsider or rethink creative and technical decisions youve
made without paying a stiff penalty in both time and money.
Resolution independent
Shake artists can freely combine standard definition, HD, or film
without compromises. And with support of 8-, 16-, and 32- bit
(float) color resolution, Shake enables you to composite high
dynamic range images and CG elements with greater fidelity.
Production-proven tools
Shake includes sophisticated layering tools, tracking, rotoscoping,
painting and color correction, as well as CFCs KeyLight and
Photrons Primatte bundled right in so you can handle a broader
range of green and blue screens faster right out of the box.
New Trackable paint and roto tools
Want to automate time consuming roto tasks? Shake limits the need
for manual keyframing with trackable vector paint strokes and
rotoshapes, allowing artist to concentrate more on the creative
efforts and less on the mundane tasks.
Extensive Scripting, Expressions and Macro support
Shakes internal C-like scripting language is entirely accessible to
the user, allowing one to make custom effects and functions, as well
as integrating Shake more easily inside a large production pipeline.
However, one does not need to know programming to enjoy Shakes
scripting ability and it is suitable for compositors, 3D artists,
technical directors, I/O operators, programmers, and other 2D
support artists. The true power is Shakes ability to create custom
macros and effects, without even using the SDK. Macros compile
on-the-fly, and may be created inside the interface and modified
by hand. Use it to standardize common effects unique to your
facility.
